Designation Mechanical Designer
Job Description
To produce piping layouts, isometrics, P&Ids and details of
various refinery and gas installations. Approximately 25% of
time will be spent on site.
Desired Profile
Applicants shall have a BSc /HND / HNC or equivalent Diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent. They will have worked in the engineering industry for at least 10 years and during that time will have worked in mechanical and piping design draughting mainly in a process plant environment. Experience in the petro-chemical industry would be a distinct advantage and experience of Hazardous Area mechanical installation to NEC or IEC standards is essential. A broad knowledge base of mechanical engineering, drafting techniques, the AutoCAD draughting package and competence in general computer skills will also be required.
The successful candidate will be of good health, self-motivated and have the ability to produce accurate and efficient work within tight project schedules.
The Refinery's business language is English. The candidate will be able to speak, read, and write clear and concise technical English.
