Accountabilities:
- perform preventative maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) work on low- and high- voltage equipment, generators, motors, transformers, switchgear and power electronics associated with production and utility equipment on LNG, OET, TLU and water wells;
- verify and document all electrical repair and PM work;
- troubleshoot / diagnose [fault find] and repair electrical equipment / installations [eg lighting] and DB systems used on production process and utility areas;
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical systems and equipment by reference to technical journals, books, operating manuals, and other reference materials;
- report daily activity, provide input to safety meetings, and report any defects or deviations to supervisor as well as in computerised maintenance management system (SAP);
- ensure the reliability and integrity of the plant equipment and systems such that all activities and work are carried out safely and properly in accordance with established policies, standards and procedures;
- isolate and de-isolate end users, such as electric motors, heat tracing, etc.;
- perform switching operations on low- and -high voltage distribution systems;
- be fully conversant with SAP PM to be able to use the systems to co-ordinate and execute work and ensure history data is entered and maintained;
- ensure all electrical system documentation and software is kept up-to-date to maintain its integrity;
- test run [with Operator present] motors that are reinstalled after overhaul work is completed;
- promote a positive attitude towards maintaining and improving HSE performance;
- make recommendations for changing PM schedules based on observed plant performance and failure modes;
- undertake approved modifications to equipment with the agreement of the Electrical Support Engineers and in accordance with company procedures for plant change and project implementation;
- ensure the efficient and effective installation, troubleshooting and commissioning of new projects;
- complete assigned tasks including complete reinstatement of plant and leave the work site in a clean and tidy condition;
- obtain material and equipment required to complete correctly all allocated tasks;
- continually monitor and seek to improve the team’s performance, suggest, and where appropriate, implement cost saving to ensure the effective control of the maintenance budget;
- report and advise the discipline supervisor of any abnormal or potential failure of equipment that could lead to unsafe conditions;
- demonstrate a strong safety attitude;
- respond to normal and abnormal operating conditions;
- be part of a duty roster system;
- train less experienced electrical technicians;
- attend all mandatory RN and SEIC and other necessary training;
- comply with the Engineering Technician Progression Program (ETPP).
Job requirements:
Experience and Qualifications required:
- be certified to RF Electrical Safety Level 5;
- higher professional education or specialised tertiary education and additional training in electrical engineering (specialisation power engineering);
- the minimal previous work experience under the speciality shall be 7 years.
Key Competencies required:
- fundamental operating principles of industrial process systems;
- written and spoken English at B1 level and Russian as to communicate with Asset management, support engineers and operations teams;
- all HSE requirements;
- the basics of the electrical technology, telemechanics and electronics;
- the structure of the electrical schematic of the electrical machine, devices, instrument devices, and automatic control units;
- the methods of testing the electrical equipment, cable and air networks, whole electrical scheme of the installation and each parts as well, the rules of (remedial) maintenance of the electrical devices, measuring, welding and powered transformers, AC/DC converters, automatic controlling devices including schemes to control electric motors;
- the principle of the work the electrical machines and devices when the process of the LNG and crude production takes place, and the rules of the calculation the energy in shunt capacitors;
- engine and turbine controls (Frame 5 and Frame 7);
- ENMC system operation and maintenance;
- Microsoft Office suite;
- computerised maintenance management system (SAP);
- mentoring & Coaching;
