Job Description
To produce piping layouts, isometrics, P&Ids and details of
various refinery and gas installations. Approximately 25% of
time will be spent on site.
Desired Profile
Applicants shall have a BSc /HND / HNC or equivalent Diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent. They will have worked in the engineering industry for at least 10 years and during that time will have worked in mechanical and piping design draughting mainly in a process plant environment. Experience in the petro-chemical industry would be a distinct advantage and experience of Hazardous Area mechanical installation to NEC or IEC standards is essential. A broad knowledge base of mechanical engineering, drafting techniques, the AutoCAD draughting package and competence in general computer skills will also be required.
The successful candidate will be of good health, self-motivated and have the ability to produce accurate and efficient work within tight project schedules.
The Refinery's business language is English. The candidate will be able to speak, read, and write clear and concise technical English.

Job Description
To plan, schedule and supervise all engineered projects involving new construction/ upgrades of gas distribution networks and transmission pipelines, refinery operating units, tank farm, interconnecting piping, power plant piping and equipment, etc.
Co-ordinate inter/intra Department and other discipline Supervisors/ Contractors.
Have the ability to write clear and concise reports, proposals, feasibility study reports and memorable. Good interpersonal skills.
Desired Profile
University Degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential with sufficient exposure to all aspects related to construction activity in upgrade/ retrofit of running refineries/ petrochemical plants as well as in major green field Petroleum/ Petrochemical Industry projects.
A minimum of 10 years experience including 8 years in construction/ project management of Gas pipelines/ flow line projects, Refinery Process Units in Oil & Gas industry. Experience in installation of static and rotary equipment is essential.
Adequate knowledge on the construction applications of the current ASME/API/ International Codes covering Gas and Oil flow lines / transportation systems, refinery equipment and piping, power plant and pining etc.
Should have thorough knowledge of work on running/ live high pressure Gas Distribution pipelines and networks with experience in preparing these pipelines for hot work including pigging procedures, hazardous operating area requirements etc. Must also be familiar with work in live/ operating Refinery Units.
Be aware of all safety procedures and be fully conversant with the Health and Safety Standards in the Petroleum/ Petrochemical Industry.
Capable of coordinating with related disciplines like Civil, Electrical and Instrumentation in the execution of the project. A general and broad knowledge of the above disciplines is essential.
Capable of interpreting Project Specifications and Contracts. Provide inputs for the preparation of the same.
Experience in operating PC on Windows XP/ Vista/ 7 platforms with knowledge in usage of MS Office Software Packages are essential and knowledge of Auto Cad is an advantage.
Sound communication skills in English, both written and oral. Knowledge of Arabic, an advantage.
Experience in Cost estimation of Projects from first principles and must be capable of preparing Project Plans and Schedules using MS Projects/ Primavera Software.
